On September 28, Nick Jiwa announced this year's winner of the CustomerServ Scholarship for Disadvantaged Students. Nick and his leadership team presented this year's winner, Alexis Moran, the $7,500 reward during a virtual award ceremony. Alexis is currently attending Western Governors University, working to earn a degree in business management.
Motivated by her past experience working in an urgent care clinic, Alexis' ambition is to one day lead a healthcare facility that values patient-centered care above profits. She plans to use her degree to work in hospital administration to develop methods of offering affordable healthcare to anyone in need. To accomplish that dream, Alexis has been balancing working three jobs, helping her family and attending her classes to earn her degree.
CustomerServ seeks out to find inspiring, talented students like Alexis, who may not have the opportunity to pursue their passions due to financial pressures. The scholarship seeks to assist in relieving some of the financial stress and support these students in their endeavors.
